The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu is a new game pack released in 2020, which is priced around 20 US dollars (price may vary based on location). Unfortunately, The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu reveal trailer, which was unveiled on August 27, 2020, did not receive a positive response from the community. With a 65 percent dislike ratio, it was evident that players were disappointed with the game’s prior expansions.
The Sims 4 Star Wars DLC offers a plethora of new creator sim content, such as authentic Star Wars franchise clothing for both adults and children, customizable hairstyles, hats, and fresh aspirations. However, there are no new neo personality traits included. Moving on to the Sims 4: Journey to Batuu pack’s new build and buy mode content, players can expect a decent collection of Star Wars-themed furniture, including chairs, tables, sofas, bar tables, shelves, and game tables. These items are reskinned with a Star Wars twist, adding an exciting new dimension to the game.
The Sims 4 Star Wars DLC has introduced only a handful of new features, including a curved bar table, a new tent, a sitting monument, some new lamps, and a wide range of Star Wars-themed decorations. In addition to these, The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu DLC adds a new vacation world that is divided into three distinct districts: Black Spire Outpost, Resistant Encampment, and First Order District.
Regrettably, the three districts featured in The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu DLC, much like other Sims 4 worlds, are visually appealing but lack substance. While players can visit and interact with certain locations, such as the bar Oga’s Cantina in the Black Spire Outpost, most interactions are limited to panels with no physical engagement. Additionally, like most other Sims 4 packs, the factions and overall storyline of the pack are average at best.
